Singaporean shoe brand Pazzion has grown beyond shoes to offer cafes and homeware items. Tom Ng, the founder and director of Pazzion, explains to CNA Lifestyle why the homegrown company has ventured into lifestyle goods as well as how it’s increasing its sustainability efforts.
Pazzion, as its name implies, was founded out of Tom Ng’s passion for shoes.
After graduating and working in sales for several years, the mechanical engineer decided to follow his entrepreneurial instinct and opened a men’s shoe store in 2002. While business was successful at first, when he discovered there was an appetite for affordable yet well-crafted ladies’ footwear he changed direction and focused on that segment of the market instead.
In 2005, Pazzion opened their first store at Marina Square with an array of fashionable women’s footwear. His gamble paid off and soon after more locations followed suit.
Pazzion currently operates 10 physical stores, an online store and franchises across several Asian countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, India and Japan. Recently the company has begun expanding into China where they will exclusively sell shoes through e-commerce channels.
Over two decades, this shoe label has become the go-to choice for many working women in Singapore, offering over 300 styles such as espadrilles, ballerina flats, loafers, high heeled shoes and even a “mother and baby” collection. With nearly 300 styles to choose from, it has become the go-to brand for those seeking stylish footwear options.
