Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York for assault

According to authorities, Jonathan Majors was arrested on Saturday (25 Mar) in New York on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment.

In a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, Majors, the star of Creed III and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, was arrested, according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD). A 911 call in the Chelsea neighbourhood of Manhattan was answered around 11am by police.

A spokesperson for the NYPD said that the victim reported she was assaulted. “Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to an area hospital.”

As of Saturday night, the actor who plays Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was no longer in police custody, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press.
