Daesung and Taeyang have left BIGBANG’s long-time agency, YG Entertainment. YG announced on Monday (Dec 26) that Daesung has left, soon after it was announced that Taeyang had signed with a new label.
THEBLACKLABEL now represents both artists.
It also stated that it was in negotiations with G-Dragon, the last member of BIGBANG still signed with it. Both Taeyang and Daesung remain members of BIGBANG.
As stated by YG Entertainment on Monday, Daesung has decided to terminate his contract with us. He is looking for a fresh start. His status as a member of BIGBANG remains the same. “We support Daesung’s decision and new start, and we are always open to cooperating with him.”
“We are delighted to report that Taeyang is making a fresh start,” the statement said.
Earlier this year, BIGBANG member T.O.P. left the agency to expand his individual activities.
Since the departure of Seungri in March 2019, BIGBANG consists of T.O.P, Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung.
